Bookvy is owned and operated by BOOKVY SMART LEARNING TECHNOLOGY PRIVATE LIMITED (formerly NineSpace Technology). By creating an account or using Bookvy, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account details such as name, email address, phone number, password or MPIN, and role (student, parent, teacher, or admin).
  • Profile information including class, board, school, state, and academic preferences.
  • Parent–student linking codes and related account connection data.
  • A profile photograph, where you choose to upload one. This is optional and can be removed at any time.
  • Camera access, used only to take a profile picture and to scan the linking code shown on another device. Linking codes are read on your device; the camera image is not uploaded or stored.
  • Payment and billing details processed through our payment partner (we do not store full card or UPI credentials on our servers).
  • Support messages, feedback, survey responses, and communications with our team.

Information collected automatically

  • Device information, browser type, operating system, and app version.
  • Log data such as IP address, access times, pages viewed, and feature usage.
  • Learning activity including course progress, quiz attempts, exam results, assignments, and time spent on content.
  • Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in and improve platform performance.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Bookvy learning platform.
  • Personalize learning paths, recommendations, and performance insights.
  • Process subscriptions, payments, invoices, and refund requests.
  • Enable parent dashboards and school administration features.

4. Children's Privacy

Bookvy is designed for students in Classes 1 to 10. Where required, account creation for minors should be completed by a parent, guardian, or authorized school representative.

We collect only the information necessary to deliver educational services. We do not knowingly sell personal information of children. Parents and guardians may request access to or correction of a linked child's account information by contacting us.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data only in the following circumstances:

  • With schools or institutions that provision accounts for their students, as permitted by your enrollment.
  • With trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, analytics, payment processing, email delivery), under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • With payment partners such as Razorpay to complete transactions and handle disputes or refunds.
  • When required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of BOOKVY SMART LEARNING TECHNOLOGY PRIVATE LIMITED, Bookvy users, and the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or business transfer, subject to continued protection of your data.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

You may request account deletion by contacting support. Some records (such as payment or audit logs) may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
